Mentally, Amethyst helps you focus the mind and see more opportunities. It is excellent to aid in problem solving and connecting people working together on projects or towards common goals.

Amethyst enhances the decision-making process, bringing greater insights. It helps provide more restful sleep, especially aiding against insomnia or bad dreams.

Amethyst balances highs and lows and aids in the transmission of neural signals throughout the brain.  Amethyst is one of the most spiritual stones, bringing love of the Divine, greater connection to your intuition, and increasing psychic Gifts.

It helps dispel negative emotions such as anger, guilt, fear, and grief, and allows you to heal and transmute these energies with ease.  On a subtle level Amethyst connects the physical, emotional, and emotional bodies, linking them to Spirit while cleansing the chakras and aura.

How to Use Amethyst

Amethyst can be used in a variety of ways for different purposes. Keep larger stones in your office to dispel any negative energy or gossip.  For better sleep, place a small Amethyst stone under your pillow at night.

To connect with your intuition, open your third eye, or enhance your psychic Gifts, lay down and place and Amethyst crystal on your third eye chakra.

For deeper meditation, hold an Amethyst in your hands while you meditate.  Women often place a small Amethyst stone in their bras and wear them throughout the day. You can also carry Amethyst in your pocket or your purse, and hold it when stressful or anxiety-producing situations arise.

What to Do Next

Find an Amethyst crystal that calls to you. Set aside some private time to commune with your stone. After cleansing your crystal, take 3 deep breaths.

Listen to the message that your crystal has for you.  Decide how you are going to use your Amethyst and if you are ready set your intention for the crystal.

You may also want to look for Amethyst jewelry to help facilitate your spiritual journey. Amethyst bracelets and necklaces are common. An Amethyst worn at or near the throat or heart chakra is especially powerful.
